Each of these popular poker chip sets come with 1000 chips, a 1000 capacity acrylic carrier, similar to the ones used in casinos and 10 of the clear acrylic racks to keep the chips organized. The poker chips are 39mm and 11.5 grams in weight with a metal insert. The overall chip is a much better quality than past designs. The edge spots on this new chip have actually been added to the chip during the manufacturing process. This means they are made to hold up as long as the rest of the chip. These chips have also been specifically made for a label inlay, which means they have a recessed middle. Different from past designs the center design is a label made from a waterproof PVC material that will not come off under normal playing conditions. The design still sports the denomination in the middle surrounded by four aces. To say the least, these quality chips are truly phenomenal.

Achilles was known in Greek lore for his invaluable participation in the Trojan War. Being the primary character in Iliad by Homer, he was pictured as one of the most beautiful warriors that met against the warriors of Troy. Achilles was said to be immortal, especially when he is in battle. However, he was known to have one weakness, his heel, which was contemplated after he died of a poison arrow struck at that part of his body. This aspect of the story actually brought about the concept of the “Achilles Heel”, referring to a person’s personal weaknesses.

It’s a good solid dartboard, the whole thing weighing about 20 pounds, and its easy to hang up on the wall and plug in. I was curious about trying out some of the games the board has, since I’m used to playing straight darts and the closest I’ve ever come to trying something out was a game of Cricket I tried a year ago or so. It was good fun and I looked forward to trying it out at the next party I had.

That party was quite a bit of fun, and everyone enjoyed trying out the games on the dartboard, though we eventually stuck to classic darts. The hit detection on the board is nice, though it has that classic problem all electronic dart boards have when your dart happens to strike just that perfect spot between the holes and just bounces off to no avail. Luckily, there’s a “bounce out” button to keep the electronic scoring straight. But anyhow, I’ll take that trade over having lots of tiny holes in my wall from steel tip darts any day!
