Decorating Your Yard with Inexpensive Post Caps and Cheap Finials

My neighbor came over last week to watch a football game and we got to talking about all the home improvement things we have been involved with at our wives insistence over the years. While most of everything we have done has been for the inside of our respective houses I have done more to my yard and fence. He made a comment at how expensive it is to enhance a deck or fence and was surprised at the inexpensive post caps that I used to help set our fence apart.

At half time I took him out back to the deck to show him where we incorporated some cheap finials on top of the caps on the corners. We bought cedar because it is a hardy wood for outdoor use but we also sealed it to further protect them from the elements. While there are some pretty expensive post caps and finials there are also some that are really good quality and reasonable as well. I proved it to my neighbor and will be helping him in the spring get his fence posts protected and looking great!
