Some History of the COX Classic

The Cox Classic enters its ninth year in 2004. Event dates are August 2-8, 2004. Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $950,000 for charity and entertained thousands of spectators. In the past, notable professionals such as Chip Beck, Chris DiMarco, Stewart Cink, Brent Geiberger, Dennis Paulson, Matt Gogel and Aaron Baddeley have played at The Champions Club and won on the PGA TOUR.

We are very excited and confident that the 2004 Cox Classic will continue this tradition of excellence. With a record 65,000 spectators (Thursday – Sunday) attending in 2003, the Cox Classic is a unique opportunity to increase the visibility of your company. In addition, the Cox Classic distributed $87,000 among 13 local charities. With your support, we are able to make Omaha a healthier and more exciting place to live.
