Viper X-Treme Electronic Dart Board hits the bulls-eye for fun!

I’ve been in the market for a new dart board ever since my old one died a month ago. Tradition aside, I have a lease to honor so I can’t use steel tip darts. That, and I’d already been curious about the Viper X-Treme Electronic dart board. 43 possible games sounded like this board would have some lifespan to it and it looked like it was built to handle a good party, so I got one from superiorsportsbar.com and checked it out.

It’s a good solid dartboard, the whole thing weighing about 20 pounds, and its easy to hang up on the wall and plug in. I was curious about trying out some of the games the board has, since I’m used to playing straight darts and the closest I’ve ever come to trying something out was a game of Cricket I tried a year ago or so. It was good fun and I looked forward to trying it out at the next party I had.

That party was quite a bit of fun, and everyone enjoyed trying out the games on the dartboard, though we eventually stuck to classic darts. The hit detection on the board is nice, though it has that classic problem all electronic dart boards have when your dart happens to strike just that perfect spot between the holes and just bounces off to no avail. Luckily, there’s a “bounce out” button to keep the electronic scoring straight. But anyhow, I’ll take that trade over having lots of tiny holes in my wall from steel tip darts any day!
